All-Natural Glass Cleaner

I’ll be honest keeping my house clean is a full-time job, which means I am exposed to a ton of different chemicals on a daily basis so few months ago I started moving away from conventional cleaners found in the grocery store and started using a combination of homemade and store-bought natural cleaners. All-Natural Glass Cleaner is among my favorite homemade cleaners, it does a super job of keeping my windows and mirrors sparkling clean and leaves behind a pleasant smell.

I have to admit, I am not a scientist or chemist, I have no idea what role the cornstarch plays, in the mix if you do know tell me, I am kind of curious! But it this recipe for glass cleaner is FAR more effective than any I have tried without cornstarch. I do know using alcohol and white vinegar together makes a super effective spray glass and mirror cleaner that can compete with the cleaning power of national brands, but both of these ingredients have distinct smells, so this cleaner does have a somewhat strong smell when initially sprayed, but it completely evaporates once it dries leaving only the scent of the citrus essential oil.

When cleaning, I prefer to use microfiber cloths  to wipe down the windows, but old newspapers or t-shirts also work. Just avoid paper towels as they tend to leave lint behind. As you clean or when using your all-natural glass cleaner after it has sat for a little while, make sure to shake the mixture up before spraying, the cornstarch tends to settle to the bottom of the spray bottle, and can clog up the sprayer.
